In Santa Liberata, on the road leading to Porto Santo Stefano,we can see the remains of a large Roman villa, which belonged to the Roman family of Enobarbi Domitii and became imperial property under the reign of Nerone.
The villa, located on an artificial platform at a height of 45 meters above sea level, had a residential area (urban pars) which also includes a spa complex, located in a slight depression between the tip of Santa Liberata and the coastal road.
