The Scoglietto temple

The Scoglietto temple area stands along the road that connects Alberese to the beach of Marina di Alberese, in the southwestern part of the municipality of Grosseto, within the protected area of the Maremma nature reserve. Far from the sea about 3 km, the headland Scoglietto North of the Uccellina mountains, still preserves the traces of settlement going from prehistory until modern times, when on its slopes was planted an olive grove by the Grand Duke of Tuscany.
The headland is also crossed by a portion of the mighty wall, 12 km long, built perhaps in the Renaissance and later restored by the ” Opera Nazionale Combattenti” to divide the wooded area from that destined for agricultural activities
