The castle is an architectural complex built around 1100, in the town of Monticiano.
The castle looks like nucleus of ancient buildings arranged around a central courtyard with arched doorway still well preserved. Among the many buildings of historical interest there is the Church of Castello di Tocchi,a small but well decorated church, that operates every Sunday. Historical remains are the walls, the entrance arch, the paths of the ancient medieval paths and several apartments, some of them restored and habitable.
